About the Role

Brotherhood Home Care (BHC) Office located Frankston are looking for professional Personal Care Attendants on a Part Time/Casual basis. Bring your PCA skills and experience to support our clients living with their daily living requirements. 

The BHC team is focused on your safety and will provide you with a comprehensive induction and ongoing training including PPE and infection control in accordance with DHHS advise.

Your days will never be repetitive, you will be assisting clients with: shopping, cooking, transporting, social activities and personal care to ensure they can continue comfortably living at home. You will have experience working with clients with dementia or disabilities and understand how to work with our elderly clients.

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum of Certificate III in one of the following areas, individual Support, Aged Care, Home & Community care, Disability or above.
  • First aid certificate and current CPR
  • Must have current Victorian Drivers Licence and reliable roadworthy motor vehicle with valid registration and insurance
  • Must have minimum availability requirement of 4 full weekdays per week and flexible availability              
  • Bilingual language speaking abilities (Italian or Greek preferred)
  • Experience and understanding of elder people, people living with dementia and disabilities and the aging process
  • Experience and knowledge of safe food handling practices, hygiene, cleaning and cooking techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build and maintain rapport with people diverse background
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in line with legislation
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively as part of team to achieve outcomes
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, prioritise, plan workload and meet deadlines

This is a position and with flexible hours, based in the Frankston, Mornington Peninsula and Bayside area. You will be part of a supportive team with buddy shifts and ongoing support, and a competitive salary and salary sacrifice options. 

Salary Range: $49,428.08 - $52,518.96 (pro-rata per annum) based on skills and experience. Salary sacrifice is also available to increase your take home pay!
