The Work and Learning Division of the Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL) seeks to assist people to live and work independently through access to effective, high quality employment, training and support programs. The department also advocates for appropriate and innovative community responses to employment and related issues. Current programs in the Work and Learning Division include:
This program works with parents to help them to identify their education and employment goals, develop a pathway to achieve their goals and links them to activities and services in the local community. This program is funded by the Australian Government and more information about it can be accessed at www.employment.gov.au/parentsnext. This program is delivered from the following regions: South East and Peninsula (Dandenong, Frankston North, Pakenham), North Eastern (Epping, Preston), North Western (Broadmeadows, Craigieburn, Sunbury) and Inner Metro (Fitzroy) regions
The Team Leader - ParentsNext Program is responsible for the day to day operational management and leadership of the ParentsNext (PN) program in a designated region. This includes managing the ParentsNext team to achieve program objectives and targets that comply with the Department of Jobs and Small Business deed as well as meets organisational expectations. In addition, the Team Leader will establish collaborative working relationships with local service providers, community organisations and other agencies to ensure referral pathways and access to high quality activities and services for participating parents. The incumbent will oversee the delivery of this program for all ParentsNext sites in their designated regions
This is a full time position working 38 hours per week. This role will be located in the South East at the Dandenong office, there will be some travel required.
Salary will be in the range of $69,342.34 - $74,612.57 per annum based on skills and experience plus superannuation. Attractive salary packaging provisions are available to increase take home pay.
