We’re looking for a professional Operations Manager with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a 6 months maximum term part -time basis, working 22.8 hours per week based in Fitzroy.

THE ROLE

the Operations Manager role is to enable the Youth department to support and provide expert advice on the department’s, operations, business and financial planning. The role will be responsible for development of documentation and management of robust business and finance systems and processes.

  • Provide expert advice, lead where appropriate, and support the head of youth and the Senior Leaders with the development of robust department level operational, business and finance systems, analysis of departmental performance and financial data as well as budgets to align with the community programs planning framework and mechanisms
  • Support the Senior leaders in capacity and workforce planning for the department in consultation with the Head of Youth
  • Support Senior leaders deliver internal communications to staff that best achieve departmental objectives around operations including a focus on business and financial planning, within allocated budgets

Salary will be in the range of $ $90,455.88 - $94,498.05 pro rata per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for an Operations Manager who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as business management along with proven track record in all aspects of operations management including financial and business analysis, planning and reporting, revenue planning, and quality, risk and compliance management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, monitor and analyse financial performance systems within allocated budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate the translation of knowledge into strategic objectives
  • Experience in supporting the managing of operations and/or contracts, preferably in the community sector including project management
