Summary of program and its objectives:

The Children’s Programs includes a number of programs including Early Years Development, Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY), Connie Benn Community Team, Integrated Centre and Community Impact – Frankston North and Mernda.

Main responsibilities of the role:   

The Enhancement Activities Lead with be responsible for the Frankston North Primary and Secondary School Social Inclusion Activities. This role supports delivery of the services with expertise in social work and education practices including developing before, during and after school activities in the school community. The Lead is also responsible for facilitation of peer learning supervision with the team. The Lead will also deliver consultation and transition support to the mainstream school teachers. The lead will also play a crucial role in referrals to the programs from key partners.

To meet the selection criteria, candidates will require: 

 Essential

  • Relevant qualifications in Community Services, Social Work, and Social Sciences or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in community services, not for profit organisations, and children’s services
  • Relevant experience in knowledge of all aspects of children’s programs, staff management and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience and knowledge of Education Policy and Practice Reform
  • Take ownership and responsibility for decisions
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally and with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems and make appropriate recommendations
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan workload, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Expertise and competency in Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood 

This is a permanent part-time role working 30 hours per week based in Frankston North, VIC. Salary will be based on skills and experience plus superannuation. Attractive salary packaging provisions are available to increase take home pay. Applications close on 12 July 2020 at 11:55pm.
