We’re looking for a passionate Early Years Support Facilitator - Mentorship Program with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a casual basis, working 8 hours per week based in Fitzroy.

THE ROLE

The Early Years Support Facilitator is responsible for providing support and assistance in the delivery of early childhood programs including our supported playgroups. 

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the Brotherhood’s quality framework and culture by participating in and promoting quality actions through continual improvement activities
  • In collaboration with the Co-Ordinator, set goals and objectives to ensure outcomes are met for yourself and the families
  • Provide support and to the Family Learning Support workers working under the direction of the Early Years Coordinator
  • Ensure families feel welcome and included in the early childhood setting through being respectful, inclusive and mindful of diverse cultural and family structures
  • Assist in providing a program and environment that recognises, values and respects the cultural and religious backgrounds of all families 

Salary will be $29.26 per hour plus 25% casual loading, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Interest in childhood development, learning and parenting
  • Good English language skills
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build effective, trusting relationships with children and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Understanding the needs of vulnerable families and children or lived experience
  • Customer service focused
  • Highly-developed administration, computer skills and competency in Microsoft Program
