We’re looking for a professional Community Engagement Coordinator with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a permanent part-time basis, working 22.8 hours per week based in Fitzroy.

THE ROLE

This position delivers a range of group-based programs, group engagement activities both onsite and off-site, working closely with key partners and broader stakeholders. This position engages and collaborates with local service providers to enhance social inclusion, participation, and advocacy for families, with an integrated services approach.

  • Deliver key parenting and children’s groups and children outcome focused sessions that have been scheduled by the Program Manager
  • Participate in planning sessions for program and group facilitation and contribute to the development of the program content (adapting to CALD families, trends and needs) to deliver onsite and or off-site
  • Engage parents and children in a range of learning and engagement activities

Salary will be in the range of $73,316.14 - $79,316.47 pro rata per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for an who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Relevant qualifications in community and children’s services, social work and social sciences or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in community services, not for profit organisations and children’s services
  • Relevant experience in knowledge of children’s and family focused program delivery, CALD parenting engagement and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience and knowledge of Early Years Services and Children’s Practice Frameworks
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally and with people from diverse backgrounds Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems and make appropriate recommendations
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to plan workload, prioritise, collect and demonstrate data creatively and meet deadlines
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel and Outlook, Online Meeting Platforms Zoom, Skype for Business
  • Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood
