Brotherhood of St Laurence

The Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL) is a social justice organisation working alongside people experiencing disadvantage to address the fundamental causes of poverty in Australia.

We believe no one should live in poverty. It’s why we exist.

Our mission is to pursue lasting change; to create a more compassionate and just society where everyone can thrive.

The Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL) employs over 1,400 staff and is supported by approximately 1,200 volunteers. Our work is focused in Melbourne and Victoria but branches out through our partners to every state and territory in Australia.

By volunteering in one of our BSL Op Shops, you not only help us provide a valuable service to people in our community, you also help us to raise critical funds to support our range of programs, services and research that support people experiencing disadvantage.

Take part in social change for an Australia free of poverty today.
