About the role

There is never a dull day in the life of a Team Leader for Group work and Project Coordinator role at Relationships Australia New South Wales (RANSW). In this pivotal dual role, you will be working closely with centre managers and clinicians to ensure the smooth running of the group work program at our Blacktown Centre. You will engage and interact with a hugely diverse client group from young families, couples and singles of all age groups.

As well as delivering group work programs, you will provide leadership to and supervision for all group work facilitators at the Blacktown Centre. You will be given support and assistance from the centre Manager to facilitate sessions for families and undertake seminars and training. In this role you will also provide leadership to the Building Stronger families program, working with Culturally and Linguistically diverse facilitators to deliver Men's Behaviour Change program to 3 diverse CALD Communities.

This role gives you the scope, autonomy, and tools to make an unrivalled difference in the lives of the communities RANSW operates.

At RANSW we're flexible. This is a part-time role at 4 days per week, paying as follows:

$70,953.12 - $74,543.31.

We're also able to give a bit more.

In addition to the salary to the base salary, there is the employer's contribution (9.5%) to superannuation, leave loading (17.5%) and we offer salary packaging (a tax-free exemption as a not for profit!)

Your eventual salary will be negotiated with you what you can show us in experience, training, qualifications, and attitude.

About the team

You will be working within a number of highly skilled talented counsellors, caseworkers, and senior managers, and if you're up for a challenge there will be plenty of scopes for you to step up when you feel ready! Oh, and your manager is one of the most energetic in the business so if you've some new and bright ideas, he will be more than happy to put them to test!

Enough about us, let's talk about you.

We're interested in hearing from people who possess a combination of the below:

  • This is a demanding role and so experience is key, you should be aiming for 5+ years as a group facilitator
  • Previous experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities assisting them in behaviour change to build stronger families. This includes men, women, and children
  • Experience working families (men, women, young people and children) affected by domestic violence
  • Leadership experience in community service/s sectors
  • Resilience is a really big part of this position, for you to play a large role in the lives of so many people and colleagues alike
  • You'll need to be able to work after hours on occasions, the nature of the role is that people's problems don't always sit well within a 9-5 office week
  • Teamwork is to work collaboratively with the team and in this role, there will be plenty, you will also need to work autonomously and so you need to be comfortable in both environments

Sounds like you, great! Okay now then…
