Work with a small family, in the family's home in Noosaville. Support Workers are needed long term to play an integral part in helping to run a household. Our delightful six-year-old little boy has cerebral palsy but doesn't let that stop him from enjoying life to the full. He is a happy go lucky little boy, who loves socialising with his peers or his lovely support workers. He has an equally adorable twin brother who he loves to bits.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Domestic duties like cleaning, cooking, laundry and tidying
• Carer and parent support
• Care for children
• Personal care and daily living support for a 6yo with cerebral palsy
• Disability Support work including skill development, and meeting allied health goals in relation to mobility, feeding, speech and communication

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

• Current unrestricted Drivers Licence
• Roadworthy vehicle
• Current QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Positive Police Check (less than 3 months old)
• Influenza vaccination and willing to get yearly
• COVID Vaccination
• Open to learning and feedback
• Physically fit to get down to, and up off the ground regularly

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

• First Aid Certificate
• Provide CPR Certificate
• Qualifications and experience working with children with disabilities
• Experience working in a private family environment

HOURS OF WORK

Hours of work range between 6am - 8pm. The family is currently seeking someone with availabilities in afternoons (3-7pm) and/or on weekends. Minimum of 2 shifts per week. The family hire multiple workers so the roster can be flexible dependant on worker availability.

RENUMERATION

Initial pay is in accordance with the SCHADS Award – Home Care Employee – Casual Day Worker – Level 2.1. This is equivalent to: $28.99 (Weekday), $40.58 (Saturday), $52.18 (Sunday), and $ 63.77 (Public holiday). As the role develops, the renumeration is adjusted to reflect additional responsibilities.

The employer processes wages weekly, and also provides 10% Superannuation and PAYG Tax.

Individuals registering or registered as a provider with NDIA (National Disability Insurance Australia) and who have their own ABN and Insurances can also apply to negotiate a contract.
