Bridge Housing is a leading Tier 1 NSW community housing association that sources and develops social and affordable housing for people on moderate-to-low incomes across 21 local government areas in greater Sydney. We have over 3,400 properties housing almost 5,000 residents. In 2017 Bridge Housing were awarded the NSW Government tender to manage 1,200 public housing tenancies in the northern beaches for the next 20 years. Our offices are located in the City of Sydney and Brookvale.

The Role:

Reporting to the Regional Manager Central, you will be responsible for leading one of our Housing Teams in our Sydney Office.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the ongoing success of Bridge Housing and the Housing and Community team by assisting with the development and implementation of the business and operational plans and related programs and projects.
  • Ensure consistent high quality service from the Housing team by managing adherence to the Customer Service Charter and relevant Housing policies and procedures and managing of tenant complaints and appeals to effective resolution
  • Ensure the Housing Team meets its financial goals and targets through the effective management of rent assessments and rent arrears, former tenant debt, vacancies and voids, bonds and recharges.
  • Ensure Bridge Housing offers high quality housing to its clients by regularly reviewing the portfolio structure and property distribution, managing the periodic inspection of properties and ensuring that maintenance issues are reported through the appropriate avenues.
  • Support the continual improvement and development of services offered to tenants by maintaining strategic partnerships with support providers and other key stakeholders and promoting and/or implementing initiatives that support sustainable tenancies.
  • Support Bridge Housing’s growth strategy by contributing to the research and preparation of information and data that is required for funding submissions, tender, expressions of interest or any other adhoc or periodic report requested by the business to support decision making and business planning.
  • Support the Director, Housing meet Bridge Housing’s corporate governance obligations by ensuring the accurate recording of relevant data 

If you are an experienced housing manager or property manager (tenancy) with previous experience managing teams, then this role is for you.

Essential Requirements:

Please respond to the following essential criteria in your application letter:

  • Experience in managing and leading teams
  • Knowledge of Social Housing and the homelessness, health and welfare service system in NSW
  • Sound understanding of best practice social housing management, policy and legislation applying to the community housing industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work completely autonomously
  • NSW Driver’s License

Salary Range: $95,000 - $99,725 + Super + Salary Packaging.
