Bridge Housing is a leading Tier 1 NSW community housing association that sources and develops social and affordable housing for people on moderate-to-low incomes across 14 local government areas in greater Sydney. We have over 2,000 properties housing more than 3,100 residents.  By 2021 Bridge Housing will manage 3,450 homes, providing secure accommodation to 4,500 residents.

In 2017 Bridge Housing were awarded the NSW Government tender to manage 1,200 public housing tenancies in the northern beaches for the next 20 years.  in August 2019 we opened up an office in the Northern Beaches. 

Reporting to the Director of Housing and as part of the operational team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing partnerships aligned with Bridge Housing’s Support Partner Strategy and coordinating support services to drive tenancy sustainability. The role is responsible for managing the Support Coordination function across the organisation and across our two offices - Sydney and Brookvale.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support the Senior Management Team to deliver core goals and business activity identified in the strategic and annual business plans
  • Embed and maintain adherence to the Management Operating System to deliver upon corporate Key Performance Indicators for the operations team based in the northern region
  • Ensure consistent high quality service from the Support Coordination team by managing adherence to the Customer Service Standards, relevant policies and procedures and managing complaints and appeals to effective resolution
  • Lead the effective delivery of support services to support tenants with complex needs by working collaboratively with internal and external partners
  • Identify opportunities for new alliances and partnerships, and monitor delivery of partnership agreements to ensure improved tenancy outcomes
  • Manage service and contractual commitments with government agencies and external services to provide support to residents
  • Support the continual improvement and development of services by continually reviewing and improving policies and processes 
  • Analysing and reporting on operational performance, providing recommendations for improvement and preparation of executive and Board reporting
  • Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations affecting the sector and ensuring the WHS, safety and risk frameworks are implemented and maintained

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience of working in the community housing sector, government or social services sector at a senior level
  • Demonstrated leadership skills at a management level to drive team performance
  • Sound understanding of best practice social housing management, policy and legislation applying to the community housing industry
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience and the ability to network and build relationships
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

Salary - $111,680 - $116,231 + Super + Salary Packaging.

Fixed Term, approximately 12 month opportunity commencing in end of May/Early June.
