Brain Injury SA is seeking to appoint an Advocate to join our team. The Advocate is responsible for providing high quality individual and systemic advocacy for people of all ages with acquired brain injuries. The Advocate protects the human, legal, civil and consumer rights of people with ABI by empowering and directly representing clients and their carers in the resolution of disputes and promotes those rights to government and the community by contributing to policy development and identifying opportunities for stakeholder engagement.
We are seeking an Advocate with excellent written and verbal communication skills, well developed time management and organisation skills. Building on our existing foundation of service excellence, the Advocate will also bring to the role a high level of community-based experience and a well-developed understanding of social justice, disability, human rights and community services. Your knowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and community service systems is essential.

Qualifications in Disability, Social Work, Law or a relevant discipline are essential.
The position is full-time until 30 June 2022 with the possibility of contract extension.
