In preparation for the patient’s discharge in a few weeks we are seeking 1 or 2 experienced support workers to cover his on-going, indefinite, over-night roster in the family's Bondi Junction home (respite for the parents, who will be at home should they be needed in an emergency). Shifts are of 8 hours duration.

Duties involve the care of a one-year-old with a tracheostomy, so paediatric and trache experience would be preferred although training can be provided. What you must possess though is adequate exposure to acute nursing care, in a hospital or community nursing setting (aged care experience does not apply).

Preference will be given to those that have indefinite availability with no clinical placement or other commitments so that uninterrupted continuity of care can be provided.

Essential requirements:

• Must have a current work visa and work rights in Australia
• 100% compliance with NSW Health's immunisation policy
• Current season flu jab
• Experience in acute nursing care
• NSW Working with Children Check (paid employee version) and National Police Check
• Regular, uninterrupted availability
• Available to start within 2-4 weeks
