We're seeking passionate and empathetic Occupational Therapists to join us to support the growth, learning and development of children through providing evidence based allied health therapy support. You will work closely with children, families and educators to identify children’s strengths and weaknesses and develop strategies to build their skills to achieve their goals and reach their potential in learning, development, social participation and independence. You are compassionate and responsive and make clients feel heard and understood.

ABOUT US

Living Big Therapy and Support – Blossom Therapy Services is a rapidly growing mobile allied health service supporting families with children with developmental delay and disabilities from newborns to early secondary years. We service families in North East Melbourne areas, such as Epping, Wollert, Mernda, Doreen, Craigieburn, Thomastown, Lalor.

Our mission is to improve participation and independence of children with additional needs and empower their families to be active members of the community. We are at an exciting phase of expanding and actively recruiting the right therapists to join the team.

WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO

  • Plan and deliver effective therapeutic support for children with a disability that: improves outcomes; identifies needs; reflects and respects client priorities; build on strengths; meets quality service standards and adheres to contractual obligations according to your professional training and discipline.
  • Work with children and families in settings that best support the achievement of their goals, usually at home, kinder, childcare, clinic and other community settings.
  • Maintain up to date clinical records.
  • Ensure client confidentiality.

WHAT WE NEED

  • Registration or eligibility to register with AHPRA
  • Current professional indemnity insurance
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional and approachable manner
  • Confidence using MS Office and database management systems
  • Ability to work autonomously, remotely and within a mobile team environment
  • An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment – we are always improving and evolving
  • Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

WHAT WE'D LIKE TO SEE (BUT ISN'T ESSENTIAL)

  • Personal or professional experience in disability, early childhood and working with families
  • Experience in early intervention or school setting
