The Organisation

Southern Cross Housing is a leading Tier 1 provider of social and affordable housing across the Illawara, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Snowy Monaro Local Government areas. The role

The housing team within Southern Cross deals with both tenancy management for existing clients and also applications for housing assistance and allocation of vacant properties to the right candidates.

We are looking for people with experience working with those at risk of homelessness and who have some knowledge of the social housing and/or community housing sector. Knowledge of the relevant NSW waiting list and policy around eligibility, priority and allocation is an advantage, however for the right person our client is willing to train.

You must be:

  • Able to multi task and use and pick up new IT systems quickly;
  • Have experience or training and a desire to work with vulnerable clients demonstrating empathy, patience and understanding;
  • Work well in a team and want a career supporting the community in the Shoalhaven.
