ABOUT US

Black Swan Health is a not-for-profit, primary health care organisation, providing evidence-based exercise, physical rehabilitation and chronic disease management in both a clinical and gym-based setting. We are seeking a Physiotherapist to work as part of our multidisciplinary team which include Diabetes Educators, Dietitians and Exercise Physiologists.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and have the confidence to manage a busy and growing workload. The role is well suited from someone who loves interacting with clients, is keen to work within the area of rehabilitation, can work well with a great team and who is personable, driven and motivated. We are looking to recruit someone to run our Strength to Strength and balance classes three mornings per week, to conduct initial assessments and to provide holiday cover when required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide comprehensive individual assessments for clients with chronic pain, diabetes, respiratory, cardiovascular disease, fibromyalgia and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Plan, implement and supervise rehabilitation and maintenance programs for eligible clients
  • Develop tailored exercise programs for clients attending our Strength to Strength gym-based program at Osborne Park.
  • Supervise Strength to Strength and balance classes.

Essential minimum selection criteria:

  • Hold a current registration as a Physiotherapy with AHPRA with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Current Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Experience in individualised exercise prescription for clients
  • Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of group exercise programs for clients
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build a rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Be eligible for a Medicare provider number
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
  • Drivers licence and reliable car
