  • Full-time (1 FTE)
  • Fixed term contract - 12 months
  • Salary range: $65k-$75k plus super
  • Based in Melbourne, VIC

At a glance

  • Collaborating with the Impact & Engagement Manager on planning and executing an annual calendar of events for our community of B Corp businesses
  • Managing projects across our team to ensure programs are delivered
  • Implementing engaging online and in-person events, with the goal to improve the impact and culture of business in Australia & New Zealand

You are:

  • An effective project manager who stays on top of deadlines and competing priorities
  • Qualified with 2+ years of experience, with a relevant degree or qualification preferred
  • A self-starter who seeks opportunities to learn and grow
  • A detail-oriented planner who thinks about everything from run sheets to back-up transportation
  • Aligned with our mission, working with business to have a positive impact on people, place and planet
  • Someone who can remain calm under pressure and thrives in a challenge
  • Comfortable learning new tools and technology, and thinking about how we might implement new processes to improve how we work

About the role

  • B Lab conducts a range of programs and events in support of our mission to change the culture and practice of business in our region, in service of our vision: an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economic system for all people and the planet.
  • B Lab is best known for certifying businesses as B Corps (Certified B Corporations). Part of this includes designing programs for businesses seeking to improve their impact and pursue certification. These include in-person and online workshops, webinars, and other programs tailored to help businesses adopt better policies and practices.
  • We also work on engaging Certified B Corporations to improve their impact and connect with our systems change work. This role will help bring our programs, events and campaigns to life, such as:
    • Engaging staff with our annual campaigns, such as B Corp Month and Best for the World.
    • Planning regular meet-ups for B Corps across Australia & New Zealand, both online and in person.
    • Supporting our partners in hosting events for B Corps focussed on topics such as reducing emissions, engaging with the First Nations business sector, or marketing responsibly.
  • This role will help our team deliver events and programs, working across all roles and reporting to the Impact & Engagement Manager.
