Himilo Community Connect and Banyule Community Health are looking to recruit a highly motivated, and skilled Homework Club Coordinator able to deliver high quality, student-centred educational support to school-aged students from Prep to Year 12. This is a great opportunity to lead the development and delivery of a high impact program that supports learning achievement for disadvantaged communities. The position is part-time (two days per week) contracted to 31st July 2021, Shop 48 Harmony Centre in the Mall in West Heidelberg.

Your motivation, interpersonal skills, and expertise as a Homework Club Coordinator will see you excel in this role as you:

  • Provide high quality and engaging learning support to students from Prep to Year 12
  • Provide leadership, support and supervision to tutors
  • Facilitate evidence-based teaching and learning programs suitable to the Homework Club context
  • Engage with and support parents and carers to improve learning outcomes, motivation and confidence of students

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in teaching/education
  • Experience delivering educational programs and activities to school-aged children
  • Experience in working with people of all ages and CALD backgrounds
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, organisational skills and time management skills
  • Victorian Institute of Teaching registration and/or employee Working with Children Check
