Are you looking to make a valuable contribution to people experiencing homelessness in Melbourne?

Working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team that uses innovative housing practices, this exciting and challenging position offers applicants the opportunity to build and empower the lives of people experiencing homelessness.

About us

Launch Housing is an independent Melbourne based community organisation passionately committed to ending homelessness. From providing high-quality housing to an innovative range of support, education, and employment services, we bring solutions to homelessness under one roof for thousands at risk or experiencing the crisis and trauma of homelessness. With over 400 staff working across 14 locations in metropolitan Melbourne, we combine direct action with advocacy, research, and innovation to drive widespread change.

The role

We are currently seeking Tenancy and Property Workers to join our Head Lease team. You will play a significant role in assisting people experiencing homelessness and currently accommodated in hotel and motel accommodation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The role sits within a From Homelessness to a Home (H2H) partnership consortium with multiple agencies partnering to provide funded housing and support services. It is an opportunity to make a significant, lasting impact on homelessness and rough sleeping in Victoria.

As a Tenancy and Property Worker, you will be tasked with sourcing head leased properties for clients framed by a continuum of support and assistance to maintain housing, while clients await their long-term social housing options. You will ensure the effective and efficient management of tenancies and properties in line with a broad range of policies, procedures and key legislation. The ultimate objective is to support this client group into safe, sustainable and affordable long-term housing options.

Please note, this role may involve occasional work outside of normal working hours, which will be paid in accordance with Launch Housing Enterprise Agreement.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have experience within the real estate or community housing sector in the tenancy and property management functions. You will be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and exceptional administration skills. Working with several key stakeholders and the general public, your strong problem-solving skills will be relied upon daily. The successful candidate will have sound working knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and VCAT experience; including the ability to manage competing demands and communicate professionally, effectively and respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

If you have a desire for social change and feel that you could contribute to our supportive team culture and the important work we do, this could be the job for you!

In return, we offer a flexible working environment, salary packaging, wellbeing leave, training and development and ongoing career opportunities across multiple Launch Housing teams.
