About The Role

We are currently seeking a passionate Senior Worker to join the dedicated Children Specialist Support Services (HCSSS) team. The HCSSS team supports children and young people that have experienced trauma due to homelessness and/or family violence. The service provides a range of services including information and referral pathways, enhanced case management, therapeutic and recreational group work, psychological services, speech therapy as well as educational support.

This role provides outreach and case management services to support children and parents with complex needs. The goal is to re-build ruptured attachments and relationships. The Senior Worker will also provide support, secondary consultation and mentoring to other members within the team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in human services or a related discipline with experience in delivery of services to clients with complex needs relating to homelessness. You will have the ability to work therapeutically with children and parents who are experiencing housing stress and have a trauma history. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience building positive relationships with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
