From providing high-quality housing to an innovative range of support, education, and employment services, we bring solutions to homelessness under one roof for thousands at risk or experiencing the crisis and trauma of homelessness. With over 400 staff working across 14 locations in metropolitan Melbourne, we combine direct action with advocacy, research, and innovation to drive widespread change.

The Role

We are currently seeking Homelessness Emergency Response Support Workers to join our team. The position will support the Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) sector to meet the increased demand for people residing in hotel accommodation during the Covid-19 pandemic.

As a Homelessness Emergency Response Support Worker, you will deliver case management to assist people residing in short-term accommodation which includes engaging with clients, undertaking assessments, making referrals, undertaking planning or other tasks as required. You will also provide additional over the phone support to people who are at risk of homelessness.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will understand the causes and impacts of homelessness and understand case management and how to promote client choice and control. You will also have good interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds. To be considered for this opportunity you must hold a valid driver's license.
