About us

Launch Housing is an independent Melbourne based community organisation passionately committed to ending homelessness. From providing high-quality housing to an innovative range of support, education, and employment services, we bring solutions to homelessness under one roof for thousands at risk or experiencing the crisis and trauma of homelessness. With over 400 staff working across 14 locations in metropolitan Melbourne, we combine direct action with advocacy, research, and innovation to drive widespread change.

The role

We are currently seeking experienced Homelessness to a Home Case Managers to join a newly established team. You will play a significant role in assisting people experiencing homelessness, and currently accommodating in hotels and motel accomodations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The role sits within a From Homelessness to a Home (H2H) partnership consortium with multiple agencies partnering to provide funded housing and support services. It is an opportunity to make a significant, lasting impact on homelessness and rough sleeping in Victoria.

The team is tasked with transitioning clients who have experienced long-term homelessness and disadvantage and have complex needs out of emergency accommodation and into head leased private rental properties, providing support every step of the way. The ultimate objective is to support this client group into safe, sustainable and affordable long-term housing options.

You will engage with diverse and complex clients to provide wellbeing focussed case management support and deliver innovative and effective services to our clients. You will build relationships and advocate with specialist support services to improve the client's health and wellbeing. This is an exciting opportunity to join a reflective and encouraging team supporting and empowering people to develop the skills, capacity and linkages to improve their quality of life and avoid future episodes of homelessness.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification such as human services or social work and have a minimum of one-year homelessness case management experience. You will have a passion for working collaboratively with people experiencing homelessness and the ability to use determination, rapport building and creative problem-solving skills to deliver innovative client solutions.
