Launch Housing is an independent Melbourne-based community organisation passionately committed to ending homelessness. From providing high-quality housing to an innovative range of support, education, and employment services, we bring solutions to homelessness under one roof for thousands at risk or experiencing the crisis and trauma of homelessness. With over 400 staff working across 14 locations in metropolitan Melbourne, we combine direct action with advocacy, research, and innovation to drive widespread change.

About the role:

We are currently seeking enthusiastic casual After Hours Support Workers to join our Southbank team. Launch Housing Southbank is a 51-bed crisis accommodation service, providing support to people onsite and in the community who are experiencing homelessness. Southbank is a fast-paced workplace, aiming to achieve positive housing and life outcomes for our clients.

As an After Hours Support Worker, you will have the ability to juggle competing demands in a crisis setting, working with people with significant issues requiring support - such as AOD, mental health, trauma, disability and homelessness. You will also maintain the effective running of the accommodation by maintaining security and responding to critical incidents and breaches.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification and/or direct experience in the delivery of crisis and support services. You will have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and external services to achieve quality client outcomes. You will also have a positive teamwork approach as well as the ability to work autonomously.
