  • Part-time position (3 days per week) based in Darwin including outreach work

We are looking for a group facilitator to join our Men's Behaviour Change team in Darwin.

This position is based in Darwin with outreach work to Wadeye and Tiwi Islands.

The Men's Behaviour Change Facilitator will co-facilitate the Men's Behaviour Change Program in Berrimah with some outreach work in remote communities and support the promotion and awareness of the program.

The Men's Behaviour Change Program (MBCP) is based in Darwin with outreach to Wadeye and the Tiwi Islands. The program is designed to support men who are engaging in violent, abusive and/or controlling behaviours, to change that behaviour. This takes place in a group setting along with individual case management, where participants are provided with education, support, strategies and referrals to other services.

Family members are also supported by a Women's Safety Worker who works closely with the MBCP facilitators.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Co-facilitate MBCP groups based on the MBCP program manual
  • Work in an integrated fashion with other CCNT services, in particular, the NO MORE Campaign
  • Promote the MBCP through the distribution of information, presentations, networking and the creation of articles and social media content
  • Develop and maintain collaborative networks with relevant government and community based agencies. Maintain professional relationships with all clients, community members, stakeholders and CCNT staff
