• Senior clinical psychologist position within the newly formed Community Acute Intervention Service MH outreach team

• Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00hrs, full time (80 hours / fortnight)

About the facility

Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) provide integrated and recovery orientated mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and / or drug and alcohol issues, and their families.

The Community Acute Intervention Service is a 7 day a week team working across two shifts. The team is a tertiary-level multidisciplinary mental health drug and alcohol team. Its aim is to provide timely and effective assessment, treatment and support for individuals aged 16 years and older with high acuity mental health and / or AOD needs up to a maximum of a 28-day period.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated senior clinical psychologist who has a passion for providing brief-psychological interventions for consumers and their caregivers, whilst the consumer is experiencing acute mental health and / or alcohol and other drug difficulties.

Working within a multi-disciplinary team, the successful incumbent will work alongside mental health clinicians, lived experience workers, an AOD clinical specialist and our medical workforce.
