About the facility

The Swanston Centre offers a 32 bed adult inpatient service comprised of nursing, medical, allied health and lived experience team members. The Swanston Centre has strong links to the alternate acute and subacute mental health programs within the Barwon region, as well as our continuing care services.

About the role

You will provide leadership and operational management to implement the contemporary vision of inpatient service delivery of Barwon Health Mental Health Directorate, using contemporary evidence based multidisciplinary practice. Our vision includes instilling a recovery oriented, consumer centred approach to service delivery including the implementation of the peer support program and advance care statements. The role will also include a coordination responsibility in relation to bed flow to ensure those most in need have timely access to beds. You will also engage in continuous improvement within the service and be responsible for relevant quality reporting, business planning and service development.
