About the role:

Anglicare have an exciting opportunity for a permanent part-time, 3 days per week NDIS Support Co-ordinator to join our team in Community Services. Anglicare is seeking a staff member with initiative and enthusiasm to support those in the community. You will be working across several NDIS line items, however Support Co-ordination will be the primary role. The applicant must have NDIS experience, and Support Co-ordination experience is highly desired. This position Is located in Tamworth, NSW but may include outreach to surrounding communities.

Key responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Supporting people with an NDIS package to access the community
  • Provide NDIS Support co-ordination for individuals
  • Establish positive relationships with the clients, staff and other organisations
  • Promote Anglicare’s services in a positive manner
  • Assess client safety, planning, and intervening where appropriate, by ensuring the well-being of the client
  • Reporting – ensure that reports are prompt and an accurate record of observations, risks, interactions and dynamics

About you:

  • Certificate III or above in social work, psychology/community services/mental health or equivalent
  • Extensive NDIS Experience
  • NSW Drivers licence
  • Knowledge of mental health issues and the impacts it has on a person’s life
  • Skills in establishing rapport, respectfully communicating expectations and being assertive
  • Experience relating to and building rapport with people
  • Excellent observation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Working with Children’s Check is required
  • Police Check or NDIS check is required, but cost will be reimbursed by Anglicare for the successful applicant
  • First Aid Certificate desirable
