About the role:

The Case Manager – Adoption and Guardianship will provide case management services to clients for all aspects of the adoption of children including pre-adoption foster care, case work with birth parents and foster carers/proposed adoptive parents. Case Managers also work with birth and adoptive families to provide a range of post adoption services.

Key responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Responsibility for all aspects of the adoption of children including pre adoption foster care, assessment and preparation of legal applications
  • Case work with birth parents and foster carers/proposed adoptive parents
  • Working with birth and adoptive families to provide a range of services through the post-adoption service

Skills, knowledge and experience needed:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work or Psychology
  • A professional background in adoption and/or out-of-home care
  • Own vehicle and a NSW Driver’s licence AND a Working with Children's Check
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients from different and varied backgrounds, including CALD and Indigenous
  • Strong analytical skills to understand the application of legislation and policy to practice
