The Insights & Innovation Centre of Excellence (CoE) has been established to support Beyond Blue in its transformation to becoming more community centric. The CoE supports the Lines of Business to achieve their strategy with frameworks and tools to incubate and accelerate best-in-class products & services for the community, through agile and iterative design and its trial, through to launch and scale.

The Business Intelligence Analyst, Support & Services is responsible for building and maintaining automated reporting solutions and providing insights and recommendations across Beyond Blue. This is a highly technical role that works with a variety of data sources, with a focus on digital analytics and insights. Familiarity with Azure, PowerBI or Tableau is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance of analytics infrastructure (20%)

  • Manage and maintain Beyond Blue’s analytics systems, and advise on best data quality creation for various programs and provide influence here
  • Provide technical support and ability to create KPI’s and metrics for program success measurement
  • Manage organisation-wide access to data and reporting tools
  • Periodically audit analytics infrastructure.

Dashboarding & Insights (60%)

  • Develop and manage a regular cycle of reports, translating data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Create real-time dashboards in Google Data Studio and PowerBI to monitor performance and provide regular optimisation recommendations team
  • Create automated solutions for reporting on offline data sources
  • Provide proactive insights about customer behaviour, and their experiences to various teams across the organisation
  • Provide training to staff on using analytics tools and platforms
  • Have a creative flair for data visualisation and data storytelling.

SEO (20%)

  • Manage and optimise Beyond Blue’s data sources across the Services & Supports function and program
  • Regularly audit all data visualisations and advise on technical and onpage optimisation recommendations
  • Inform strategic decisions with data insights and analysis.

Education/Experience

Degree in computer science, information systems, digital or related field.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

Essential

  • Strong analytical skills – a minimum of four years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with digital metrics
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of technical and non-technical SEO
  • Basic understanding of Azure technology stack would be advantageous
  • Essential platform experience: Google Analytics, Power BI
  • A willingness to adapt and learn new analytics platforms and methodologies
  • Ability to build relationships and coordinate reporting with many internal and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to meet and manage conflicting deadlines
  • Proactive nature, turning data into information into insights for actionable outcomes.

Desirable

  • Preferred platform experience: PowerBI or Tableau
  • Experience with SQL, Microsoft Azure and Python
