About the opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis.
You will ideally have a minimum of three years teaching (primary) experience, an understanding of the varied needs of primary school-aged children who are currently unable to succeed in mainstream settings, empathy for families in crisis, and the desire to work together to make a positive difference.
- Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
- Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum program within the school.
- Undertaking other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal.
- Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, and excursions.
- Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
Skills and experience
- Bachelor Degree in Primary Education ( or equivalent)
- Experience of working with students with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
- VIT registration
- Commitment to the Child Safety Standards.
- Special Education qualification, highly regarded

- SC5 Demonstrated commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities and a capacity to reflect on, evaluate and improve professional knowledge and practice
- SC6 Demonstrated commitment to work as a member of a collaborative team and capacity to develop highly effective teaching practices that reflect current evidence-based intervention as they apply to students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
