The Berry Street School is a specialist independent school consisting of four campuses based in Ballarat, Morwell, Noble Park and Shepparton. We provide a Victorian Curriculum and VCAL program for students aged 12 to 18 years who have become disengaged from mainstream education and deliver a trauma-informed education model.
Both roles are full time, permanent positions beginning in January 2022 in line with the new school year.
We are looking for two teachers, ideally with one role predominately teaching literacy and one teaching numeracy, both with elective based classes. However, we encourage applications from all teaching specialties.
To be successful in the role, you will hold a tertiary qualification in Teaching/Education, hold a current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration and be able to work creatively to engage our young people in their education. You will understand of the importance of and have the ability to work in a team environment in this setting and have an understanding of the trauma informed positive education model approach.
