The Opportunity

The Senior Case Manager – Complex Case Management will provide high quality Case Management/Key Work to young people in our Targeted Care Packages (TCP) Program and the Lead Tenant (LT) Program for the Home Based Care team in the northern metro region of Melbourne.

This position is currently on a mix of office based and working from home due to the COVID-19 situation and the successful applicant will be expected to integrate into the team from home to begin with, reintegrating into the office as Victorian restrictions are lifted.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Case Manager works closely with the Team Leader on program development, stakeholder management and reporting and plays a key role in mentoring Case Managers. The role provides a family sensitive and child-focused casework service to the children and adolescents who are supported by Berry Street’s TCP or LT programs, and develops individual case plans which specify objectives of intervention, anticipated timelines, and tasks and responsibilities necessary for their achievement.

About You

You will be a tertiary qualified professional with a Bachelor level qualification in social work, psychology, welfare or related discipline with demonstrated leadership skills, in particular, experienced in leading both employees and volunteers.

You will have experience in working with children & young people on statutory protective orders and a sound knowledge of the nature of protective issues, homelessness, trauma and attachment, disability and the implications for their emotional and behavioural development.
