Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is an intensive, evidence-based family and community-based intervention focused on supporting young people aged 10-17 years who are presenting with severe challenging behaviours, including offending.
The team consists of one MST Clinical Supervisor and four Practitioners.
The MST Clinical Supervisor manages the planning, implementation and administration of the MST model. Leading a team of four MST Practitioners, the MST Clinical Supervisor ensures the consistency and integrity of intensive in-home interventions with families of serious repeat young offenders utilising the MST model.
Duties include clinical and administrative supervision for therapists on team, liaison with key collaborating agencies and with leadership inside the provider organisation, providing ongoing evaluation and staff development for Practitioners, and interfacing with MST expert consultants.
You will be an individual with supervisory and leadership experience, as well as strong mental health clinical training and experience to lead a team in implementing the MST program during a three year pilot project, with the goal of the program's success resulting in it being made ongoing.
You must be available to support MST Practitioners implementing MST 24-hours per day, 7 days per week with backup from other agency supervisory staff.
You will hold a Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related subject area with specific experience in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy and behaviourally-based marital and drug treatment therapy preferred.
