The Opportunity

Berry Street is undertaking an IT transformation with the objective to modernise and build a robust mature technology environment which will develop the technology services into an organisation enabler, provide future readiness and enable the organisation to continue to provide high quality services.

The IT Project Officer- Systems Support will focus on ensuring the successful delivery & support of IT Infrastructure Projects. The role will provide project system support to Corporate environment, service delivery staff, school staff and students across Berry Street locations in metropolitan and regional Victoria.

This position is currently based in Richmond with a mix of in office and working from home, however our Richmond office will be closing by September 2021 and all Richmond based staff will relocate, continuing the mix of working in office and from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery and support of Helpdesk Services in collaboration with IT Managed Services Provider (supporting End User devices, Desktop Operating Systems, Software and management platforms, Active Directory and O365 email, OneNote and Teams)
  • Demonstrate and provide training to end users on use of IT equipment, devices and business applications.
  • Providing technical assistance and maintenance support to end users with excellent customer service.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting hardware and software problems, supporting desktops in a Microsoft environment. 
  • Strong experience in the delivery of IT end user support including knowledge of helpdesk tools and reporting. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively build relationships with and manage vendors.
  • Excellent communication with the ability to train non-technical staff.
