The Berry Street School is a specialist independent school consisting of four campuses based in Ballarat, Morwell, Noble Park and Shepparton. We provide a Victorian Curriculum and VCAL program for students aged 12 to 18 years who have become disengaged from mainstream education and deliver a trauma-informed education model.
This is a part time fixed term position that will commence from April 2021 and conclude in December 2021 at our Noble Park Campus. This role is for one day per week with an hourly rate between $35.57 to $41.97 depending on experience. This role is currently based at our Noble Park Campus however we anticipate we will relocate to a new campus in Narre Warren in late 2021.
The classroom teacher for the tutoring program will:
To be successful in the role, you will hold a tertiary qualification in Teaching/Education, have a current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration and be able to work creatively to engage our young people in their education. You will understand of the importance of and have the ability to work in a team environment and an understanding of the trauma informed positive education model approach.
