Venture Housing Company (Venture) is a not-for-profit organisation which owns, manages and develops affordable housing in the Northern Territory. Based in Darwin, Venture works in partnership with the corporate sector, local businesses, government and other not-for-profit agencies.

Venture Housing Company is seeking a new CEO with the drive and belief in the importance of affordable housing.

The organisation has a very clear set of values that assist staff in their day-to-day dealings with tenants, stakeholders and other staff, guided by the value-led leadership of the CEO. The CEO will lead and develop the organisations operations and governance to support delivery of the Board’s strategic and commercial priorities.

The role will require a suitably experienced and qualified candidate with the ability to relate to people at all levels, the presence to inspire others to achieve the identified strategic objectives of Venture; the capacity to achieve real credibility with key stakeholders and identify and develop commercial opportunities and harness specialist knowledge for Venture’s benefit.

Knowledge of community housing; development and management of residential housing, project management and an understanding of the Northern Territory legislative and social environment is highly regarded.
