Newly created role within an inspiring foundation who are the fundraising organisation for a number of hospitals and health institutes. Joining a collaborative, dynamic and successful fundraising team, this is a great opportunity for someone to develop their strategic fundraising experience and work with real autonomy to develop a program of fundraising though a variety of funding sources across the trusts and grants space.

You will be empowered to find innovative ways to achieve the Foundation’s mission to unite health research and education with patient care and community well-being through development of the Trusts & Grants portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Development Manager to develop a strategy to increase income across trusts, foundations and grants
  • Maintain regular research and monitoring of what is topical and relevant to the interests and funding needs of the organisation amongst trusts, foundations and grants
  • Responsible for effectively planning and managing the calendar of giving
  • Develop targeted inspiring and engaging submissions to relevant bodies that are tailored and on-brand
  • In collaboration with wider medical staff you will write trust, foundation and grant applications of varying sizes
  • Management of timely acquittal and reporting processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funding bodies
  • Effectively report back on outcomes to internal and external stakeholders
  • Administer and maintain all fundraising data on the database, including data entry, segregation, timely and accurate updating of details, reporting and analysis

Skills & Attributes

  • Experience in securing funding through creating compelling written applications to various trusts/grants
  • Experience in prospect research and pipeline management
  • A passion for writing and a desire to work in the health space
  • Able to interpret, dissect and analyse complex written material such as scientific and health information
  • Ability to create and manage a calendar of submissions
  • Excellent relationship building skills with multiple stakeholders including funding bodies
  • Efficiency in administration and reporting
  • Ability to develop strategy and reach financial targets
  • Highest level written and communication skills
  • Fundraising database experience
