about the role

As Service Manager you are responsible for managing a cluster of service outlets across Western Sydney, leading a multidisciplinary team that comprises Team Leaders, Support Workers and Registered Nurses.

In a busy and diverse role, you will oversee the implementation of individual client plans and be a point of contact for families/carers and other client related stakeholders.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Service Manager will work in partnership with internal stakeholders ensuring the execution of the organisation's vision at a local level, including driving positive quality client outcomes (quality of life and health supports), staff performance and engagement, and service sustainability across the designated accommodation sites.

To have success in the role you will be passionate about working within the disability and mental health sector and dedicated to making a difference. An open, collaborative and creative leader, who enjoys a hands-on role and who can keep calm under pressure.

You will also have

  • A relevant qualification or equivalent in Disability, Nursing or community related studies
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the leadership of staff and teams in an empowering and coaching style
  • Demonstrated understanding of NDIS, along with the principles of ‘Active support’ and human rights-based approaches to service delivery, ideally within accommodation services
  • Strong computer literacy skills and advanced interpersonal communication skills including negotiation and the preparation of written and verbal reports;
  • Demonstrated business acumen including financial management, budgeting and governance experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Hold an unrestricted driver's license, as well as be open to undergoing pre-employment checks including current NDIS Worker Screening and be vaccinated against COVID-19 (as per government mandates)
