Working as part of the Senior Leadership team you will lead a group of diverse programs ensuring the operations and leadership of Odyssey House NSW are delivered effectively and appropriately.

About Odyssey House

Odyssey House NSW provides rehabilitation services to address harms associated with alcohol and other drugs (AOD) use.

Since 1977, Odyssey House has built a comprehensive network of specialised withdrawal and rehabilitation programs through residential and community service hubs across Greater Sydney and the NSW Southern Highlands.

Their professional staff treat trauma and co-occurring mental health issues to help clients develop skills to meet their physical, emotional and intellectual needs, reconnect with family and strengthen their social connections.

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Services, you will lead a team of specialised Coordinators, Managers, and other relevant staff to ensure the Programs they lead are undertaking required activities to an appropriate standard and are meeting KPIs.

A key point of contact, representing Programs in internal leadership discussions including Leadership and Management Team, Quality and Clinical Leadership Group, and Programs Management Team. As well as in a range of relationships including with funders and other stakeholders.

With a hybrid work model, this role provides a level of flexibility, although a presence is required across services in South West Sydney

A bit about you

To have success in the role you will be a highly motivated, professional leader who loves to be involved in the creation, development and growth on new and existing programs. Bringing a collaborative, non-judgemental and professional mindset, you will also have;

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in community or health services
  • Extensive experience managing teams where you have led across operational services and successful led through change.
  • Managed programs that support people with alcohol and other drug, mental health, or other similar complex support needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written, including well-developed negotiation, conflict management and resolution.
  • Solid business acumen including HR, budgeting, and governance experience.
  • High-level organisational skills, time management and project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing critical incidents and associated risk management practice and work health and safety requirements according to legislation.
  • High level of judgement and reasoning, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Hold an unrestricted driver's license, as well as being open to undergoing pre-employment checks including current NDIS Worker Screening
