About the role

This is an amazing opportunity to support an established and growing Major Gifts program for a well-recognised brand that provides emergency and primary health care services for those living in rural, remote, and regional areas of Australia.

The Major Gifts Senior Coordinator will play a vital role in growing and developing a portfolio of new and existing donors. They will also manage the donor development process and will build long lasting relationships.

The program has huge opportunity for growth with large numbers of existing and potential major donor partners. This is a donor facing role which focuses on identifying and developing leads, implementing personal stewardship techniques to retain and upgrade donors and create and execute highly curated, intimate major donor cultivation events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and manage a portfolio of major donors
  • Develop an innovative major donor journey and framework to energise existing major donors and attract prospects
  • Develop tailored proposals and donor strategies
  • Proactively undertake research, identify, and cultivate known and potential high net worth supporters
  • Grow and develop long term and long-lasting relationships with donors, increasing their level of giving
  • Manage gift solicitation conversations and meetings with major donors
  • Coordinate phone calls, letters, in person events and tours as and when required
  • Work with the internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and gather information

Skills

  • Both a background in commercial sales/relationship management focused roles and Fundraising experience considered
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build and cultivate relationships over time
  • Confidence and desire to engage with supporters both on the phone and in person
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Extremely organised with the ability to multitask and handle high volume of work
  • Pro-active and highly motivated self-starter, able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Passion, interest, and enthusiasm to work in this space
