The role

Supporting the Chief Financial and Corporate Services Officer, the Risk and Assurance Manager will work closely with key stakeholders and be responsible in ensuring that contractual, regulatory, and legislative obligations for the organisation are met. This is a new role, created in response to significant recent growth and ambitious goals for the future. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Senior Management Team and will be exposed to all aspects of the business.

This position has been designed as a full-time role however our client is open to considering a candidate who is looking for a part time role (minimum four days per week).

Key responsibilities:

  • Administer and promote the organisation’s risk management framework
  • Develop an Internal Audit Program and co-ordinate the execution of the internal audits
  • Contribute to the development and review of company policies and procedures
  • Ensure the organisation complies with relevant and updated government regulatory obligations
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure compliance with legislation and licenses

The Person:

The ideal candidate will come from an internal audit, risk or compliance background, will be results driven and will have a track record of working collaboratively across all levels within an organisation. Strong communication skills are a must-have, along with the ability to effectively listen, understand the needs of others and problem solve.

Success factors of the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in either law, business, commerce or risk management
  • Previous experience in a risk and compliance management role
  • The ability to communicate well and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Well-honed influencing skills
  • The successful candidate will need to complete a National Police Check
