Working in partnership with hospitals and research units, this foundation raises much needed funds to provide quality patient care and drive medical research to find solutions to real-world community health problems.

With a direct reporting line to the Director of Philanthropy, this highly analytical and data-heavy role sees you prospect across the Foundation and assist in the development of the major gifts portfolios.

You will research, create, and develop processes that provide leads to drive the philanthropic activities from high-net-worth individuals and Trusts & Foundations.

Role Summary:

This role reports directly into the Director of Philanthropy. Responsible for the oversight and reporting of the prospect pipeline, you will delve into the backgrounds of potential major donors with the Foundation’s cause and philanthropic activities in mind.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively develop methods and resources to identify new and high-level major gift leads and prospects
  • Effectively implement affinity ratings, capacity ratings, and propensity modelling throughout the database
  • Investigate, analyse, and synthesise large quantities of data into a user-friendly and concise format for the use of the Foundation’s front-line fundraisers
  • Produce in-depth, well-written reports on prospects based on a variety of information sources, with the ability to prepare briefing notes and prospect/donor profiles
  • Maintain comprehensive research records, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and privacy of the Foundation’s database
  • Develop and implement a donor and prospect management policy
  • Review and monitor the database to identify existing prospects, as well as follow-up on leads with appropriate research

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical and research skills with advanced proficiency in conducting donor research
  • Exceptional database management skills, highly detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to quickly and concisely synthesise large amounts of information
  • Demonstrated skill and experience in prospect identification, research, and analysis
  • Experience in developing affinity ratings, capacity ratings, and propensity modelling for prospects
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) that include sensitivity to donor information, as well as the skill and ability to write prospect profiles and other written reports
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical and research skills with advanced proficiency in conducting donor research
  • Proven ability in tracking moves management and proposals in the database to provide an overview of fundraising activity
