About the role:

You will lead a small team and liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders (both internal and external), in this fast-paced role.
This is an opportunity to lead the rollout of a national project for a highly respected NFP organisation providing much-needed services to the community!

Duties include:

  • Maintain oversight over daily project tasks, ensuring deliverables are met on time, planning future activities in line with the project plan
  • Lead and motivate a small team, supporting their professional development and ability to deliver on their role responsibilities
  • Provide consistent and quality progress reports and updates to key stakeholders - internal and external
  • Be accountable for risk management (both ongoing assessments and implementation of risk minimisation strategies)
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation measures, resolving any issues that may arise
  • Delegates project tasks as needed, to relevant project team members, and external stakeholders as needed

Essential criteria:

  • Proven experience leading project management, and implementing projects in a complex environment across broad groups of stakeholders
  • Qualifications in project management or similar disciplines are highly regarded
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven success building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Strong report writing and analytical skills
  • The ability to work autonomously, exercising judgement to represent the best interests of the organisation in a fluid, fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional time management/organisational skills
  • Previous experience leading a team
