The Role – Manager Child, Youth and Family – Byron/ Ballina Shire

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Child, Youth & Family Services. The Manager Child, Youth and Family will lead a skilled team changing the lives of families in early intervention, intensive family support and youth and family mental health programs.

As The Manager – Child, Youth and Family you will

  • Mentor, coach, induct and train team members, providing exceptional leadership
  • Manage programs, campaigns, projects, and contracts in accordance with funding, ensuring quality service
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, regularly liaise with government, non-government, businesses, and other community organisations
  • Work closely with The Senior Manager to develop, deliver and evaluate relevant programs
  • Preparation of reports, facilitate review and program development meetings
  • Regular monitoring and reviewing of case plans in conjunction with staff
  • Coordinate and participate in community events
  • Maintenance of service records and reports

Your Skills and Attributes

  • Degree in social work, psychology, social science, or related field
  • Passionate about the future of our community and driven to make a difference
  • Previously worked in senior management, strong leadership skills
  • Experience working in diverse community sectors including children, young people, families, and carers
  • High-level computer and database skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
  • Analytical and strategic mindset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, national employment standards, workplace health and safety legislation, and SCHADS award
