The Role

Reporting to the General Manager of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications, in this role you will lead the growth strategy and day to day management of the donor acquisition program for this national charity which includes single gift, regular giving, lottery and conversion activities. With high level budget responsibility, you will lead a dedicated team and oversee the management of a diverse range of key supplier relationships including face to face agencies, telemarketing agencies, lottery partners and digital marketing consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and drive the implementation of the regular giving acquisition plan and budget focusing on both income and net supporter growth
  • Build a multi-channel program of RG acquisition investment across face to face, digital lead generation, direct response TV and phone conversion
  • Design and manage KPIs across areas including supporter acquisition, first payment success, average pledge value and attrition
  • Ensure key business systems and processes are in place and delivered to enable the growth of the regular giving program
  • Key supplier relationship management across multiple agencies ensuring that robust performance and budgetary KPIs are actioned and monitored
  • Work collaboratively with the donor development/retention team to develop strategies across declines management, reactivation and upgrades
  • Identify and implement regular giving conversion campaign opportunities from the donor renewal cash programs
  • Manage and develop the lotteries program including all compliance, results reporting and acquittals
  • Build on the growth strategy for lottery including budget development, pricing and ticket bundle options and promotional strategies including cold calling data acquisition, online/digital ticket sales promotion etc
  • Work collaboratively with wider teams including events and partnerships to develop strategies to transition donors across to either the active cash or regular giving programs
  • Provide regular reports and updates on the performance of the donor acquisition program
  • Line management of a small team

Skills & Attributes

  • Previous experience of managing a sizeable regular giving program with a background of delivering multi-channel acquisition strategies
  • Demonstrated experience across fundraising activities including face to face, telemarketing and digital regular giving. DRTV experience would be desirable
  • High level supplier management experience with the ability to manage contracts, set and manage KPIs and drive performance accountability
  • Ability to develop and drive an effective RG acquisition strategy
  • Budget development and management experience
  • Demonstrated experience of identifying both risks and growth opportunities across a regular giving program
  • High level of reporting and analytics skills for regular giving campaigns
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills including the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • High level of relationship building, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated success in handling multiple diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and motivate a small team
