Its members collectively divert over a million tonnes of household donations away from landfill, raise almost a billion dollars for social good and save 880,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions through reuse in 3,000+ charity and social enterprise shops every year.

About the role:

Reporting to the CEO, the Membership Engagement and Partnerships Executive will engage with members to help grow their impact, as well as create and provide resources and services to support the sector more broadly.

  • Maintain the exceptional 90%+ member retention rates achieved over the past four years
  • Connect with relevant organisations, with an eye to expanding the member base
  • Get an exciting new initiative off the ground, a Corporate & Social Enterprise Partners program, as well as the new Charitable Retail Benchmarking tool
  • Co-ordinate the already existing Clothing Reuse Export Accreditation Scheme/quarterly waste levy rebate program
  • Support members to increase their individual and collective impact (for ex; implement a new Business Services Directory linking members with suppliers)
  • Communicate and engage members nationally, and attend member meetings in each state, and participate in member working groups on eCommerce, Collections and social media
  • Collaborate with the CEO on the National Volunteer Drive and the National Reuse Campaign

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A natural flair for business development/relationship management, or member engagement, a passion for sustainability/circular economy and the ability to work in a fully remote environment.

  • The successful candidate will be aligned with the values of integrity, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Experience in an association, charity/social enterprise, or an understanding of sustainability/circular economy principles will be highly regarded
  • Some interstate travel will be required to meet members face-to-face in each state at least once a year, and a laptop and mobile phone will be provided
