Role Summary

This broad, strategic role will plan, deliver and oversee all aspects of marketing and communications for the Foundation.

The Foundation has a clear and simple mission to ensure people enjoy good health throughout their lives, from birth until old age. You will be empowered to find innovative ways to achieve the Foundation’s mission to unite health research and education with patient care and community well-being through the development of the Marketing & Communications plan.

The Marketing & Communications Manager will coordinate and assist in the execution of planned campaigns, branding and marketing activities, content for the website and other communication channels including social media, as well as take responsibility for the planning, coordinating and delivery of the Appeals Program which may include direct mail, eDM and social media elements.

The role will also coordinate and deliver a suite of marketing and communication elements that engage, cultivate and steward high level relationships with major donors, bequestors and corporate partners for the purpose of increasing philanthropic support to the Foundation.

This role will also oversee one member of staff and collaborate with the Fundraising team and broader Foundation teams.

Skills & Attributes

  • Broad multi-channel marketing and communications experience
  • Ability to drive strategy while also implementing marketing activity
  • Exceptional written communications skills including a high level of attention to detail in grammar, writing and proofreading
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communications skills and ability to work in a team
  • Experience of organising digital content, developing engaging content and in running social media campaigns
  • Ability to effectively plan and project manage timelines, budgets and tasks and ability to work successfully with external suppliers
  • Ability to liaise with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to obtain information for communications content
  • Experience or interest in working in a not-for-profit or philanthropic organisation
