About the Role

Due to recent growth our client is looking to hire a Marketing Assistant to work in close collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Manager to support in delivering the strategic marketing and communications plan.

This role will support in executing the annual strategy and delivery of targeted campaigns to engage school and education partners utilising a multi-channel approach including digital, print and events.

It is a varied, fast paced role that requires a candidate who is hungry, ambitious, and keen to roll up their sleeves to support in whatever way they can. No two days will ever be the same. This role will provide a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring marketer to develop their marketing and digital skills whilst learning on the job.

About the Person

This team is high energy, innovative and fast paced, and so as the Marketing Assistant you will reflect these traits. You will also be highly motivated to work autonomously and demonstrate solid project coordination skills, capable in managing multiple competing deadlines. A strong understanding of the latest digital marketing trends including social media platforms Tik Tok and Instagram is highly regarded.

Duties Include:

  • Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to execute communications and campaign activity for all products and initiatives
  • Develop and manage daily activity across social media accounts, including content scheduling and community engagement and response
  • Content creation and publishing – graphic design and video creation/editing using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud and phone-based apps
  • Copywriting and graphic design/layout for communications channels
  • Update website content as required
  • Assisting in the distribution of subscriber newsletters and information
  • Data entry and CRM maintenance
  • Reporting and data analysis from social media accounts and EDM campaigns
  • Administration and operational support for the Videos for Change competition
  • Event coordination and administrative support on the Videos for Change Film Festival and other online and in person events
  • Assist in measurement of success by monitoring key metrics and generating reports
  • Responding to marketing queries via phone, email or social media
  • Ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to in all professional communications
  • Staying up-to-date with current industry trends around marketing technology and campaigns

  • Solid understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitters, LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram
  • SEO and website maintenance knowledge
  • A passion for social impact
  • Proficient in relevant marketing programs like Canva, Adobe Suite, Google Analytics
