City West Housing (CWH) is an independent not for profit affordable housing provider that owns and manages affordable rental housing in metropolitan Sydney.

The role

You will be reporting to the CEO and be an integral member of the Leadership Team, working collaboratively across all business units to ensure CWH is a sustainable, ambitious, dynamic and successful organisation.

The Manager – Business Transformation and Projects will provide support to the CEO including business planning, project management of key transformation projects that align to strategic objectives and building internal capability through management and maintenance of the CWH Project Management Framework.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the CEO to achieve business objectives through the facilitation of the business planning process, including an all-staff workshop to feed into the planning process.
  • Plan and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation
  • Project manage key business transformation projects as initiated by the CEO.
  • Maintain the CWH Project Management Framework and implement a continuous improvement maturity model to reflect the growth and scope of CWH projects.
  • Continue to enhance CWH’s project management and change management capability through coaching, workshops and project facilitation.
  • Monitor and report on business and project plans to inform decision making and support the achievement of organisational objectives.
  • Work across the business to ensure collaborative and sustainable approaches to achieving CWH’s strategic objectives and deliver service excellence.

Essential Requirements

  • Degree level qualification in business and/or project management or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of project management techniques, tools and methodologies
  • Demonstrated capability in workshop and project planning facilitation
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management and building strategic partnerships

Success factors of the role

You will be a pragmatic leader with strong experience leading change and business improvement projects across multiple business units. Experience working within the Housing sector would be advantageous.
