This innovative organisation provides specialised programs for children with hearing loss and their families with programs to meet the needs of children of all ages, including world leading intervention systems for babies and toddlers to mentoring programs for school aged children and teenagers.

Reporting into the Senior Key Relationships Manager, the Key Relationships Executive Major Gifts is responsible for managing an existing portfolio and developing new strategies to grow the Major Gifts program. This is an amazing opportunity to join the team at a time of growth for the program with exciting plans to cultivate new relationships, deliver fun and engaging events and raise much needed funds to support the children and families across Australia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve income targets and expenditure budgets
  • Identify new major gift prospects
  • Conduct research and qualify potential major donor leads
  • Develop and manage portfolio of donors and prospective donors
  • Support the delivery of major donor cultivation and stewardship events
  • Manage executive stakeholder relationships including CEO and Board to help build relationships with key major donors and prospects
  • Assist in the development of proposals and on occasion make the “ask”
  • Support with budget reporting and forecasting

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Previous philanthropy or relevant fundraising experience or background in relationship development roles
  • Impeccable writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in managing effective relationships
  • Exceptional time management with ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Ability to bring innovation and best fundraising practices into operation
  • Collaborative team member who exercises initiative, discretion and judgement
